Residential · Seismic Zone II
A residential development where the joint schedule spans 25 mm to 200 mm — an eightfold range inside one project, which is more common than most specifications assume.

What this building needed
25 mm and 200 mm are different products, not one product resized
A 25 mm joint in a corridor and a 200 mm separation between towers have almost nothing in common. The 25 and 50 mm runs take MegAtec 370 and 300, fitted from finish-floor level; the wider work takes the 360 for the wall and ceiling returns. A BOQ with one line item for all of it cannot be priced sensibly.
Bengaluru is Zone II, so the podium is the difficult joint
Seismic rarely governs here. What does fail in Bengaluru is water at podium and basement level, where the joint waterproofing has to loop and tie into the structural membrane. Those are also the joints value-engineered first because they are out of sight.
Residential means the joint is lived on
Unlike an office, nobody hands a flat back for remedial work. The joint has to be quiet underfoot, flush enough not to catch, and finished to a standard a homeowner inspects at close range.
