What to send
- Plans with the joint lines marked — GFC, tender or concept, PDF or DWG.
- The structural gap at each line, and whether the line separates independent blocks.
- Finish and build-up at each location: tile, stone, vinyl, carpet, screed depth.
- Traffic: pedestrian, trolley, pallet truck, forklift, vehicle.
- Exposure: internal, external, over occupied space, podium, basement, fire lines crossed.

The schedule is the document we price from anyway
Almost every joint we are called back to has the same history: sized from a catalogue default, or substituted at fit-out for something that fitted the gap on the drawing but not the movement. Doing the schedule at design stage costs us an afternoon and saves both of us a re-quote later, so we do it for nothing and put our name on it.
The same team writes the schedule, manufactures the systems in New Delhi and installs them with its own crews. If a location needs a product the group supplies rather than one made here, the schedule says so in the row — no lead time is implied for it.
Before you send
Do the drawings have to be GFC?
No. Concept or design-development plans with the joint lines marked are enough to flag gap widths early, which is when they are cheapest to change. We revise the schedule when the GFC set is issued.
Is there really no charge?
There is no charge for the schedule and no obligation to buy from it. It is how we would price the job if you did, so the work is not wasted on either side.
The structural engineer has not calculated a seismic separation yet.
In Zone III and above, where a joint line separates structurally independent blocks, it needs to be calculated before the joint is sized — the separation, not the thermal figure, sets the gap. The schedule will say so for that line rather than guess. What the seismic zone changes explains why.
Can you work from a BOQ instead of drawings?
Yes. Send the BOQ item and whatever drawing it refers to. The schedule doubles as the basis of a quotation.
Which systems will the schedule name?
The systems made in New Delhi first: MegAtec 300, 310, 340, 360, 370 and 610, SeismAtec 450 and FlexAtec 1200. Where a location genuinely needs a product supplied to order from the Vexcolt group, the row says so. Every system named carries a data sheet you can download from the products page.
