Only what you send us, and how the site is used
When you use the enquiry or joint-schedule form
Your name, email address and phone number, your message, and the project details you choose to give (project name, stage, a link to drawings). With each submission the server records the time and your IP address, which we use to stop spam and repeated automated submissions.
When you call, WhatsApp or email us
Whatever you send us, in the usual way. WhatsApp messages pass through WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms.
When you browse the site
Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag, loaded through Google Tag Manager, record the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location, how you reached the site (including whether you clicked one of our ads) and which of our buttons you used, such as call, WhatsApp, data-sheet downloads and the movement calculator. Google Ads “enhanced conversions” is switched on. Where the tag finds an email address or phone number on the page after you contact us, it sends Google a one-way scrambled (hashed) copy so that an ad click can be matched to an enquiry.
The office map on the contact page is not loaded from Google until you press it.
We do not run accounts, logins or payments on this site, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.
What we use it for
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare the joint schedule or quotation you asked for, and follow it up.
- To keep a record of enquiries and quotations, so a later conversation about the same project starts from what was already said.
- To keep spam and abuse off the forms.
- To see which pages help visitors and which of our ads bring enquiries, so we can improve both.
- Occasionally, to send technical emails about expansion joints. Every one carries an unsubscribe link that stops them straight away.
You give us form details so that we can reply. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us, and analytics consent at any time with .
The services that process data for us
- GoDaddy: hosts this website and the server copy of form submissions.
- Brevo (France): delivers each form submission to our inbox and sends our technical emails.
- Microsoft 365: our company email.
- Google: Analytics, Ads and Tag Manager, and Maps when you load the map.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message us there.
Some of these providers store data outside India. Each processes it on our instructions or under its own published privacy terms.
Cookies and your choice
Google Analytics and Google Ads set their own first-party cookies (names beginning _ga and _gcl). The site also stores your cookie choice in your browser (vx_consent). Nothing else is set.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked first, and these cookies are not set unless you accept. Elsewhere they are set when the page loads. Anyone can switch them off with , which also deletes the Google cookies already set. You can also block cookies in your browser or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and form submissions: three years from our last contact with you, then deleted.
- Spam protection: the per-address submission counter, 24 hours; records of rejected submissions, no longer than three years.
- Analytics: Google keeps event data for the period set in our Analytics property, no longer than 14 months.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe.
Asking to see, correct or delete your data
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, and nominate someone to act for you. Write to samyak@vexcoltindia.com. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
Security
The site runs only over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored in a folder the web server refuses to serve. Only the people who answer enquiries can see them.
