Our story

One company, end to end

Vexcolt India is the Indian arm of Vexcolt UK, founded in 1985 and today one of the world's leading manufacturers of expansion and movement-control joints, with 30+ registered patents — installed at Heathrow, Wembley, Changi and the Mall of the Emirates.

We brought that engineering to India and began manufacturing locally in 2012. Since then we've delivered 80+ projects across 40+ cities and 20 states — and we don't just supply, we install. Design, manufacture, supply and fit, under one roof.

Four decades of movement-joint engineering

From a UK manufacturer founded in 1985 to a group with offices on four continents — and, since 2012, built and installed across India by our own teams.

1985 — Founded in the United Kingdom

Vexcolt is incorporated and begins manufacturing expansion and movement-control joints in the UK.

2012 — Operations & manufacturing in India

Four decades of movement-joint engineering brought to Indian projects, manufactured locally.

2016 — First township-scale orders

The company takes its present identity as Vexcolt India Pvt. Ltd. and wins its first work orders at Bhartiya City, Bengaluru.

2017–19 — India's leading developers sign on

Embassy, Tata Realty, Shapoorji Pallonji, Puravankara and K Raheja Corp, plus first transit work at Delhi and Mumbai metro depots.

2020–23 — Industrial, aviation and government work

Mondelez and Zydus plants, Khajuraho Airport for the Airports Authority of India, and the CAPFIMS medical campus in New Delhi, via L&T.

Today — Healthcare, rail & education across India

Hospitals and medical colleges in seven states; railway stations at Chennai Egmore, Chandigarh, Tirupati, Kollam and Nagpur Ajni; campuses for IIM, ISB, IIT, NIT and Ashoka University.

Vexcolt worldwide

1985 — Founded in the United Kingdom

Vexcolt is incorporated and begins manufacturing expansion and movement-control joints in the UK.

1986 — First iconic project

Gatwick Airport North Terminal, UK.

1990–92 — Europe, the Middle East and Hong Kong

Sales expand into mainland Europe (1990), the Middle East (1991) and Hong Kong (1992).

1997 — Manufacturing in China

Production begins in China.

1998–2013 — Airports worldwide

Kuala Lumpur International (1998), Dubai International (2006), Changi Airport T3 (2008), Dallas Fort Worth (2011) and King Abdulaziz, Jeddah (2013).

2017 — Manufacturing in Bahrain

Production begins in Bahrain.

2024 — Indonesia & Singapore

Manufacturing begins in Indonesia and Singapore.

2025 — Forty years

Vexcolt marks four decades of movement-joint engineering.

Before 2012 — Vexcolt group projects in India

Microsoft HQ, Bengaluru (2000); Srinagar Airport (2005); Indira Gandhi International Airport T3, Delhi (2007).

2012 — Operations & manufacturing established

Four decades of movement-joint engineering brought to Indian projects, manufactured locally.

2016 — Vexcolt India Pvt. Ltd. · first township-scale orders

The company takes its present identity and wins its first work orders at Bhartiya City, Bengaluru — beginning a repeat-order relationship across Nikoo Homes, the SEZ blocks and the Mall of Bengaluru (2019).

2017–19 — India's leading developers sign on

Embassy (Splendid TechZone, Lake Terrace), Tata Realty (Tritvam, Trillium), Shapoorji Pallonji, Puravankara and K Raheja Corp — plus first transit work at Delhi and Mumbai metro depots.

2020–21 — Industrial & aviation proof

Mondelez and Zydus (Cadila) plants delivered; Khajuraho Airport completed for the Airports Authority of India.

2022–23 — Government approvals at national scale

The CAPFIMS medical campus in New Delhi, via L&T; the DLF relationship deepens across Downtown (Gurugram & Chennai) and Alameda.

Today — Healthcare, rail & education across India

Hospitals and medical colleges in seven states; railway stations at Chennai Egmore, Chandigarh, Tirupati, Kollam and Nagpur Ajni; campuses for IIM, ISB, IIT, NIT and Ashoka University.
