What this building needed
Two years of phased delivery, not one drop
Seven separate dispatches between October 2024 and July 2026. Campus work releases building by building, and a joint supplier who ships once and disappears leaves the later blocks to whatever is available locally. Holding the same profile across a two-year programme is what keeps the last block matching the first.
Zone IV, and the gaps show it
The schedule runs at 100 and 150 mm — wider than the same building type would need in the south. Patna sits in Zone IV under IS 1893, alongside Delhi.
Institutional corridors are cleaned, not just walked on
Teaching and residential blocks are wet-mopped daily. An open gap or a raised lip collects water and becomes a maintenance complaint, which is why the floor systems here are flush and sealed rather than open-gap.
